Coche-Dury Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay 2022
Imported by Kermit Lynch
“When the world’s wine lovers speak of Jean-Francois Coche the words Corton-Charlamagne are sure to follow. Personally, I feel his Meursault Perrieres is just as extraordinary, and sometimes more so. This vineyard contributes an element of refinement and class to Coche’s hedonistic, powerful, and intense style."
From a one-hectare plot of Chardonnay planted in 1930, 1958, and 1975, this Bourgogne Blanc shows the energy and depth that make Coche-Dury a benchmark for white Burgundy. The wine spends fifteen to twenty-two months in French oak barrels, then is bottled unfiltered to lock in its crystalline citrus, green apple, and wet-stone profile. Fresh acidity and a subtle creamy edge give it immediate appeal while setting the stage for mid-term cellaring.
